Pilates is an exercise method developed by Joseph Pilates to create a healthy body, mind and lifestyle with balance. Through a series of exercises incorporating TRX, there is a focus on a mind body connection, body alignment, breath, core control, lengthening of the body and developing form and technique. Pilates has been known to be practiced by elite athletes and dancers to enhance their performance, but is also used as therapy to strengthen the body after injury. Almost anyone can do pilates.
